Annex 2 - conditions consistent with the operating schedule
A Supply of alcohol
The authorised hours for the supply of alcohol do not prohibit:
1. during the first twenty minutes after the end of authorised hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises;
2. during the first twenty minutes after the end of authorised hours, the taking of alcohol from the premises, unless the alcohol is supplied or taken in an open vessel;
3. during the first thirty minutes after the end of authorised hours, the consumption of the alcohol on the premises by persons taking meals there if the alcohol was supplied as ancillary to the meals;
4. the supply to, or consumption by, any person of alcohol in any premises where they are residing.
B Steps taken in order to promote the four Licensing objectives
1. Club management, steward, and bar staff is informed of the Licensing Act 2003 objectives and statutory requirements to comply with all relevant provisions of the act.
2. Club constitution includes rules governing the conduct of members and their guests within and adjacent to club premises.
3. Admission to the club is confined to members and bona fide guests and controlled through a computerised door entry system Guests are signed in by the host member Club employees are instructed not to admit or serve members and guests who behave in a drunk or disorderly fashion; misconduct is reported to the committee to consider action under the club disciplinary code.
4. The club complies with Health and Safety & Fire Precautions regulations.
5. Following risk assessment, preventive and control measures are in place to ensure the safety of members, guests, employee’s and entertainment while on the premises.
6. The club complies with advised capacity limits. Fire action notices are posted emergency escape routes are signposted.
7. Signage is displayed near exits requesting members and guests to respect the needs of local residents by quietly leaving the premises.
8. When live or recorded music is played all-reasonable steps are taken to avoid disturbance to neighbouring properties.
9. Young adults applying for membership must satisfy the committee that they are over 18.
10. Committee members, the club steward and other members of staff are instructed in the offence provisions of the Licensing Act 2003 relating to alcohol and the protection of children.
11. Signage is posted at all bars prohibiting the direct sale or indirect supply or delivery of alcohol to children.
