Steps taken to promote the four Licensing objectives
General
We are a private members club for staff of Plymouth land registry only.
The premises are set in a secure government building with 24hour security.
Rules for members using the bar area
Bar staff will refuse to serve alcohol to under age inebriates or under age customers
The clubs only dedicated purpose is to provide sports and social facilities to the staff of Land registry and their families
The prevention of crime and disorder
Drinks are only to be consumed within the premises
No drinks promotions are ever run
Staff are given the power to refuse to serve
The premises are protected by internal and external CCTV and a 24hour security guard
There are regular checks of all areas by staff when club is open
A secure grille protects the bar and stock is left in a separate secure cellar
Public safety
Bar staff have been directed in the awareness of drug crime and to refuse to serve customers they suspect of being inebriated or under age.
Government policy on race etc is applied at all times
Capacity of club limited to 100persons
Regular removal of glasses and refuse
Club is equipped with air conditioning, heating and smoke extractor.
All equipment is regularly serviced on office schedules
The prevention of public nuisance
Bar only open 2 lunchtimes a week and for private members functions only, used only by Land registry staff
As area is residential and retail we carefully monitor noise levels
Building is equipped with double glazing and stands in its own grounds
Windows are kept shut when music is playing
No queues ever arise at doors
Private car park available
Regular removal of waste
The protection of children from harm
Children are only allowed entry with a responsible adult who must be a member
Staff are trained in under age requirements and to ask for proof of age
Full range of soft drinks are available
Children under 16 years are not permitted in the club after 9pm
