ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
A Conditions agreed with The Police
CCTV
1. CCTV recordings will be stored for at least 28 days
2. The Police Licensing Department will be informed if the CCTV is not operating to full effectiveness as soon as possible
3. The lighting at the premises should be such that it optimises the recorded image
4. A copy of CCTV recordings should be made available to the Police on their request
DOOR SUPERVISORS
Where door supervisors are employed the numbers working at the premises will be 2 supervisors for the first 100 patrons and 1 supervisor for every 100 patrons thereafter
Door Supervisors will adhere to the following
1. The selected searching of customers entering the premises for drugs and weapons will be undertaken
2. The queuing of customers entering the premises will be directly monitored to ensure orderly behaviour
3. Patrons exiting the premises will be monitored and when necessary will be asked to refrain from disorderly and noisy conduct
4. Surveillance of the premises floor, particularly known trouble ‘hot spots’ will be undertaken when other duties allow
5. All incidents of violence within the premises will be reported to the Police at the earliest opportunity
6. Any person in the premise looking under 18 years of age and either buying or attempting to buy alcohol or being in possession of alcohol will be asked to prove their age
7. Any entry to premises age policy will be strictly upheld
8. The police will be afforded all assistance possible in the course of criminal investigations
B Conditions agreed with The Environmental Health Authority
Public Nuisance
1. Doors and windows will be kept shut during entertainment
2. The entrances are provided with lobbies with automatic door-closers. The lobbies are to be used throughout the time of entertainment
3. After 02.00hrs until close
Total sound containment within the premises
C Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
1. The premises will liaise and co-operate with the police and participate in any Pub Watch or equivalent scheme
2. A proof of age policy will operate in relation to relevant licensable activities
3. A zero tolerance towards illegal drugs will operate at all times
4. Any drinks promotions will not adversely affect the promotion of responsible drinking
5. Customers will be encouraged to leave the premises in a quiet and orderly manner
6. Staff will be trained to observe the measures necessary to promote the crime and disorder, public safety, protection of children and public nuisance objectives
7. The premises will operate in accordance with all relevant legislation which promotes the public safety objective including, but not limited to, the Health & Safety At Work etc Act 1974 and associated regulations, the Food Safety Act 1990, the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulation 1997, the Disability Discrimination Act 1975, the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Noise Act 1996
8. The existing fire safety precautions will be retained and maintained
9. The premises will liaise and co-operate with the Responsible Authorities
10. The premises will be adequately ventilated to prevent nuisance
11. Arrangements will be made for the storage and disposal of refuse which do not cause a nuisance
12. Only suitable entertainment will be provided when children are present
13. Non alcoholic drinks will be available
14. Unaccompanied children are not allowed on to the premises
