ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The prevention of crime and disorder
CCTV in place to protect our staff and customers. Training shall be recorded in documentary form and be regularly refreshed.
An incident log bog shall be kept in place and maintained.
The premisses will have a written vulnerability and safeguarding policy, which all members of staff will be directed to read and sign.
Public safety
Majority of our business will be deliveries as we are a takeaway/delivery business and will have minimal contact with public. Nevertheless we will still maintain and incident log of the following:
9 camera CCTV
Any incidents of disorder or of a violent or anti social nature
All crimes reported to the venue, or by the venue to the police
Any complaints received
Any faults in the CCTV system
Any visits by a responsible authority (under the licensing act 2003) or emergency service
The prevention of public nuisance
A.Noise. There will be no music played, any deliveries collected will be done from main entrance and away from residential areas, Keep windows, doors etc. closed - we do not however forget that for health and safety reasons it is very important to ensure the premises is properly ventilated and access to emergency exits is not restricted.
B. Odour, we have no dirty or deep frying and we only bake through an oven, whose filters will be maintained on a regular basis ● Using sealed waste bins with close fitting lids.
Arranging that waste is collected on a regular basis by a reputable/licensed waste carrier.
● Screening waste storage areas from sight and making sure the area can be properly cleaned and has adequate drainage.
● Using a regular cleaning programme for all storage areas and waste bins.
C. Litter, waste and street fouling. Again as this is mainly a home delivery concept litter and waste will be a minimum, we will have staff though patrol the premises of the store and bring in any rubbish. We have a contract with DCW waste in place.
D. Light pollution. Our unit is very small maybe only 650 sqft in total and our lights switch off automatically (daysave) ●.
● Siting the lighting carefully and aiming the beam away from sensitive premises and transport systems. Take advantage of natural screening and barriers.
● Using high mounting positions and directing light downwards, rather than mounting it low and using horizontal light beams.
● Using properly designed screens, baffles, hoods and louvres on lights to control the direction of the light beam.
● Turning off lighting when no longer required and using timed automatic cut-off switches, but bearing in mind possible safety issues this may create.
● Ensuring lights activated by sensors are properly set and used appropriately - i.e. the light is not repeatedly switching on and off, as this itself may cause annoyance.
