ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Conditions agreed with The Environment Health Authority
1. The internal entrance doors to both bars will be kept shut during entertainment
2. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
3. There will be no live entertainment, karaoke or DJ after 23.00hrs. Recorded music for the purpose of background music may be played throughout the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol.
4. Before 23.00hrs - entertainment
To prevent entertainment being intrusive noise emanating from the premises will not be clearly audible one metre from the façade of the nearest residential property
5. Between 23.00hrs and close - recorded music only
Noise emanating from the premises will not be distinguishable above back ground levels one metre from the façade of the nearest residential property
6. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the entertainment and periodically throughout the entertainment
7. Management will control the sound levels of the music/entertainment
Steps that have been taken to promote the four licensing objectives
1. Staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 when they are recruited and given training in ‘drugs awareness’ as part of the induction
2. The Designated Premises Supervisor will be a member of a local Pubwatch scheme so long as one exists
3. Opened bottles or drinks containers will not be allowed to be taken from the premises and empty vessels will be removed as soon as they are finished with by regular collections in the trading area
4. The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided will be maintained in good working order and their adequacy will be determined on a regular basis by the carrying out of a risk assessment as required by and in accordance with the Fire Precautions (workplace) regulations.
5. Gas and electricity equipment will be regularly checked by a suitably qualified person
6. Live music will be staged in the bar only
7. All windows will be kept closed after 23.00hrs
8. A notice will be placed prominently at the exits asking customers to leave quietly
9. No irresponsible drinks promotions will be run
10. Deliveries will not be accepted at unreasonably early times in the morning or late at night
11. There will be no emptying of bottle bins etc. outside at night
12. Photographic proof of age will be required to be shown by anyone seeking to purchase alcohol who appears to be under 18 years of age
