ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Steps taken in order to promote the four licensing objectives
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. Staff will be suitably trained to prevent the sale of alcohol to under 18 year olds.
2. Patrons will not be permitted to leave the premises with any glass or bottles which belong to the premises
Public Safety
1. The electrical system, including portable appliances will be inspected and tested annually by a competent person to ensure their safety.
2. Where temporary electrical equipment is to be used, a suitable circuit breaker device will be installed to cover this equipment. The circuit breaker should operate at a current not exceeding 30mA and should comply with BS 4293. The device must be tested annually and tests will be recorded.
3. The gas system including appliances will be inspected and tested by a CORGI registered gas engineer annually and a satisfactory Gas Safety Certificate will be obtained.
4. All safety certificates and inspection reports will be kept on site and made available for inspection by officers of relevant statutory bodies.
5. The maximum occupancy figures for the premises will be 600 based on fire safety issues, available floor space and the sanitary accommodation available.
6. We will employ an appropriate method for checking the number of people entering and leaving the premises and ensure that steps are taken so that, once the maximum occupancy is reached, no further persons are admitted. The method employed is clickers.
7. The sanitary accommodation consists of:
Male WC,s - 3 FemaleWC’s - 6
Male urinal - 2 (to accommodate 9 persons in all)
WHB’s - 3 WHB’s - 3
All sanitary accommodation will be maintained in good working order.
8. Suitable and sufficient lighting will be provided to the toilets.
9. Provision will be made for the collection and disposal of sanitary towels.
10. First aid provision will be available for the use of patrons.
11. CCTV will be provided to enhance the safety of patrons and staff where deemed appropriate.
12. All staff have received suitable training regarding their duties in an emergency and in general safety precautions.
13. Regular glass and bottle collection will be undertaken throughout opening hours.
14. A means of addressing patrons during operating hours, which can be heard above entertainment or a means of interrupting the entertainment to make important safety announcements will be available.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Management will control the sound levels of the music/entertainment.
2. All rubbish produced by the premises will be stored securely in a designated area or in a bin with a tight fitting lid.
3. Doors and windows will be kept shut during entertainment.
4. Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
5. Patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or any car park; and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
6. A member of staff will be positioned at exits particularly at closing times.
7. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
8. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment and take action to reduce noise levels if they are found to be excessive/distinguishable above background levels at the nearest residential property.
Between 00.00hrs and 02.00hrs
9. Noise emanating from the premises will not be distinguishable above background levels one metre from the façade of the nearest residential property.
After 02.00hrs until closing
10. Total sound containment within the premises.
11. The handling of beer kegs bottles and other similar items will not take place in the late evening, at night and during the early morning, when the noise generated could cause a nuisance particularly outside buildings.
