Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The existing CCTV system will continue to operate
2. The current level of lighting will continue through the additional hours of trading
3. If a DJ is used on any night the DJ will ask customers to leave quietly
4. Notices stating that CCTV is in operation 24 hours a day will be displayed throughout the venue
5. Any person who appears to be intoxicated or who is behaving disorderly will not be allowed entry to the venue
6. The venue will actively partake in the local pub watch or equivalent scheme
7. Where already used, text/radio pagers will continue to be used for the additional hours of trading and will be monitored by a responsible member of staff
8. There will be regular ID checks at the premises and the venue will only accept photographic driving licenses, passport or in agreement with the police a form of identification with the PASS hologram
9. Regular liaison with the police
10. Music and dancing will continue to be a prominent feature of trading
11. All instances of crime and disorder will be reported to the police and kept in an incident logbook which will be monitored
12. Any illegal drugs or weapons found will be stored in a secure facility and arrangements made with the venue for their delivery to the police
13. The company will only operate responsible drink promotion and will aim for a drug free environment
Public Safety
1. A person trained in first aid will be at the venue who will have received training in any problems associated with alcohol and drug misuse
2. The venue has carried out a risk assessment
3. The venue has effective emergency lighting systems and fire evacuation procedures
4. All staff are fully trained on all safety issues
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Noise limiters will be in operation where appropriate and windows and doors will be closed where appropriate
2. There will be an air conditioning system operating in the premises
3. Staff will pick up litter
4. Staff will encourage customers to leave the premises quietly recognising the need of local residents and businesses
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. The venue will require proof of age in appropriate cases
2. A person under 18 years of age will only visit the premises as part of a specially organised event for the youth market when the venue will adhere to a strict admission policy, code of conduct for staff and a child protection policy
