ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
All staff shall be fully trained to undertake their roles. They will also be trained in the contents of the premises licence including times of operation, licensable activities and any / all conditions.
All staff shall be Personal Licence Holders trained by Best Bar None whom we are active members of.
The prevention of crime and disorder
The premises are covered by CCTV and an intruder alarm system installed and by a recognised contractor and monitored by Plymouth Police Dept. The premises shall operate as a small shop with very limited access. The premises will not operate in unsociable hours.
The shop is monitored by CCTV and is alarmed.
Public access to the premises will be restricted to a small 4m x 4m front 'shop' CCTV and Intruder alarms are already fitted and linked to Plymouth police. There shall be no consumption of alcohol on the premises.
Management Controls
The premises are secured by an intruder and fire alarm system installed and maintained by a local registered contractor and monitored by Plymouth Police Dept.
All staff shall be fully trained to perform their role. They will also be trained in the contents of the premises licence including times of operation, licensable activities and all conditions.
Training shall be recorded in documentary form that will be available for inspection at the request at all reasonable times by an authorised officer from a relevant responsible authority. The records will be retained for at least 12months.
Any person managing or supervising staff in the sale of alcohol or other licensable activity in the absence of the DPS shall be the holder of a personal licence obtained from a nationally recognised body.
All staff shall be suitably trained in the operating procedures for refusing to fulfil an order to any person who is under-age or appears to be under-age.
Public safety
Public access will be limited to the front 'shop' area only measuring approximately 4m x 4m.
The number of persons admitted to the 'shop' area (including staff) shall not exceed 6.
The team will be trained in 'Ask for Angela' principles.
Occupancy/Capacity Limits
The maximum number of persons (including staff) allowed at the premises shall not exceed 12.
Sanitary Facilities
Sanitary Facilities are available on site for staff use only.
The prevention of public nuisance
The front door shall be locked when the shop is vacant and public access will be by a door bell. The premises are on ground level with no foreseen risk to public safety. The area is well maintained.
No irregular noise shall be created at the premises. Deliveries / Collections shall be restricted to M-F 09:00 to 17:00.
All rubbish generated by the premises shall be disposed of via our licenced waste contractor SITA.
Noise Precautions
The business will be housed within an established trading estate and it is not believed that any additional noise will be created.
Management and Monitoring Controls
The Premises Licence Holder or nominated person will provide unhindered use of a telephone on the premises for use in an emergency, while licensable activity is taking place. This will be by way of a mobile phone.
Noise Limiting Devices, Noise Containment & Sound Insulation
No, irregular, noise shall be created at the premises.
Delivery/Collection/Storage
The delivery and collection of goods is restricted to between the hours of 09:00 hours and 17:00 hours and shall be undertaken by light commercial vehicles only.
Litter
All the rubbish produced by the premises shall be stored securely in a designated area or in a bin with a tight fitting and lockable lid. All shall then be disposed by a commercial waste contractor.
Light Pollution
The premises has small windows in line with its original build and therefore minimal light pollution shall occur.
The protection of children from harm
The shop shall operate a challenge 25 policy.
Unaccompanied children (under 18) will not be allowed on the premises.
There shall be no admittance to anyone under the age of 18.
Proof of Age Scheme
The Premises Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor shall ensure that all staff, are trained in the legality and procedure of alcohol sales, using the SWERCOTS on-line training pack or equivalent, prior to undertaking the sale of alcohol and then at least every six months. Training shall be signed and documented and training records will be kept on the premises and be made available to an enforcement officer on request. The documentation relating to training should extend back to a period of three years and should specify the time, date and details of the persons both providing the training and receiving the training.
The Premises Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor shall have a written age verification policy in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol. This policy will include documented steps taken to prevent adults from purchasing alcohol for or on behalf of children under 18s.
1) If at any time the staff of Little Gin Box are in anyway suspicious regarding a transaction then the order shall NOT be fulfilled.
The Licence Holder or Designated Premises Supervisor shall ensure that new staff receive an induction in the legality and procedure of alcohol sales, prior to undertaking the sale of alcohol. Training shall be signed and documented and training records be made available to an enforcement officer on request.
