ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
The prevention of crime and disorder
All staff shall be suitably trained in the operating procedures for refusing service to any person who is drunk or is under-age or appears to be under-age.
Spirits and all alcoholic beverages on display will be in such a position so as not to be obscured from the constant view of cashier/staff. (If this is not reasonably practical the Licensing Authority shall be consulted regarding other suitable locations in the premises).
The Premises Licence Holder will ensure that a CCTV system is fully compliant with the guidance contained in the Information Commissioner’s (ICO) guidance document (www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk) regarding installation of CCTV is provided at the premises.
The CCTV system shall cover all areas of the premises to which the public have access including any external areas located within the premises demise.
Images shall be retained for a minimum of 28 days.
The CCTV format shall be capable of downloading images to a recognisable viewable format.
At all times the premises are open for business a member of staff shall be present who is capable of operating the CCTV system and downloading images at the request of police or other authorised officer.
No sale of high strength beers, lager or cider above 6.5%abv.
All delivery sales of alcohol must be paid for at the time of ordering. The payment must be made by a debit or credit card if online or by telephone.
Alcohol and other goods can only be ordered to a residential or business address and not to a public place.
Full details including the delivery postcode must be given when an order is placed.
Any driver employed to deliver alcohol will be over the age of 18 years.
Delivery will only be made to the residential or business address given when the order was placed.
All drivers will receive induction training regarding alcohol delivery and refresher training will be given.
Training records will be kept.
All delivery drivers will be aware to watch out for signs of aggression, behaviour, speech, attitude and body language from the customer which could result in a refusal of sale.
Public safety
Alcohol will not be sold in an open container.
The prevention of public nuisance
Delivery drivers shall enter and leave the premises in a quiet and respectful manner.
Delivery driver will not play loud music and switch off the engine if waiting for or making deliveries.
The protection of children from harm
All staff shall be trained in the requirements of the Challenge 25 policies.
A register will be kept to record any refusal of sale for any age restricted goods. It will contain the date and time, product, name of person or description, any observations and the staff member. The register will be made available for up to six months to Police or any other responsible authority for inspection, if required.
At the point of delivery any person who appears under the age of 25 will be asked for a valid form of identification. The challenge will be made by the person making the delivery.
Alcohol will not be delivered to any person who is challenged and fails to provide an acceptable form of id.
