Steps taken to promote the four licensing objectives
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. To avoid cheap drink promotions
2. Responsible service to avoid drunkenness
3. A comprehensive range of soft drinks and hot beverages
4. A substantial food menu
Public Safety
1. Fire risk assessment in place with occupancy for licensable areas of 100 persons and therefore undertake to maintain a safe occupancy level
2. The fire safety measures with which the premises are provided, will be maintained in good working order, and their adequacy will be determined on a regular basis, by means of a fire risk assessment, as required by, and in accordance with the Fire Precautions (workplace) Regulations
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. We monitor noise to ensure that it is kept to a level so as not to annoy neighbours
2. Customers encouraged to leave quietly by way of notices
3. List of taxi numbers available
4. Sound levels from amplified music will be controlled so as not to cause nuisance to neighbouring properties
5. Music levels will be reduced after 23.00hrs
6. Doors and windows will be kept closed during music performances after 23.00hrs or as necessary
7. Outdoor areas will be monitored after 23.00hrs and during musical performances
8. Plant equipment will not operate beyond 23.00hrs
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. If anyone who appears to be under the age of 21years asks for alcohol, they will be required to provide proof of identity, unless the bar staff are certain (from personal knowledge or because they have seen proof of age on a previous occasion) the person is over 18 years of age. Only photographic proof of age or a proof of age card that has the PASS accreditation hologram will be accepted. All staff will be trained in this policy.
2. Proof of age notices for purchasing alcohol are on display
3. Gaming machines are clearly marked for the use of over 18’s only
4. No admission to under 16’s after 21.00hrs
