ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. All incidents will be recorded, logged, and notified to the police as soon as possible
2. Provision of Visitor Service Assistants invigilating the premises, CCTV system, intruder detection and prevention measures.
3. The CCTV system installed at the premises shall be maintained in effective working order
4. All recordings from the CCTV system shall be kept for a minimum of 7 days
Public Safety
1. Provision of safety notices, risk assessments and barriers (where applicable)
2. Electrical equipment tested on an annual basis
3. Staff who are qualified first aiders to be in attendance for staff
4. Fire extinguishers/equipment available throughout the building and are serviced/checked regularly
5. Visitor Service Assistants are trained in ‘Fire Awareness’
6. Strict ‘no smoking’ policy
7. The capacity of the premises shall not exceed the number as advised by the Fire Brigade
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Training given to Visitor Service Assistants on how to deal with violent/aggressive behaviour using Plymouth City Council guidelines
2. No drink promotions will be held on the museum premises
3. The museum will take all reasonable precautions to prevent alcohol from being carried off the premises by patrons
4. Recorded music shall only be played through the premises PA system
5. All windows and doors shall be kept closed (except for access or egress) during those times when recorded or live music is being played from the premises
6. The placing of all non food waste/refuse (such as bottles) into receptacles outside the premises shall not take place between the hours of 23.00hrs and 08.00hrs
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Training to be given to staff on the awareness of not serving alcohol to under age children
2. Appropriate Health and Safety checks will be carried out where children will be present.
3. Accompanying adults are discouraged from leaving children unattended whilst on museum premises/attending workshops
4. Sufficient notices displayed and information given when holding inappropriate exhibitions and/or functions
5. Staff to follow Plymouth City Council guidelines based on ‘What to do if You’re Worried a Child is Being Abused’ booklet
6. No gaming machines on the premises
7. Evidence of age shall be requested from any person appearing to those selling alcohol, to be under the age of 18 and who is attempting to purchase alcohol
