ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Steps taken to promote the four Licensing objectives
General
The premise is covered by 8 internal and external CCTV cameras if needed we would upgrade to digital CCTV system if required after an incident and the police requested it. Also any person looking or acting drunk would not be permitted into the premises nor served by the bar staff.
The prevention of crime and disorder
We will employ three SIA registered door persons from 23.00hrs until 02.00hrs then a further one until 06.00hrs
Previous PEL conditions will also be administered - Occupancy - 100 persons.
Public safety
We employ a glass collector to pick up empty glasses and bottles and to keep tables and dance floor clean, dry and tidy through out the time we are open also we are now using plastic bottles holding alcoholic drink.
Toilets are checked to make sure clean, tidy and dry through out the time we are open.
The prevention of public nuisance
We monitor the volume of the recorded music and if the environmental health department require lower volume we will oblige also doors and windows will be closed to keep music to a minimum. People are asked to leave as soon as possible and as quietly as possible also signs are displayed in the premises.
Conditions that have been agreed with The Licensing Police Authority
Prevention of crime and disorder
CCTV system working and recording good quality images
The recording image to be kept for a period of 14days
The police Licensing department will be informed if the CCTV system is not working properly
A notice will be displayed at the entrance advising CCTV is in operation
Lighting within the premises will not undermine the quality of the recorded image
Capacity
The maximum occupancy will be 100 persons
Door supervisors
All door supervisors will be licensed with the Security Industry Authority
Random drug searches will be undertaken as a condition of entry
Drugs
Zero tolerance to drug use and dealing
Drugs warning notices will be on display
Any suspicion of drug dealing or possession to imply dealing will be notified to the police immediately
Bottles and glasses
No open bottle or drink containers will be taken from the premises
Regular glass and bottle collection from all public areas will take place
The protection of children from harm
No person under the age of 18 years will be permitted to enter the premises
If a person looks under the age of 21 years identification will be requested
Only a valid photo driving licence, passport, or proof of age standards scheme (PASS) will be accepted as proof of identification
Conditions that have been agreed with The Environmental Health Authority
Public Nuisance
After 02:00hrs until 08:00hrs
1. Total sound containment within the premises
2. Doors and windows will be kept shut during entertainment
3. A senior member of staff(manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment and take action to reduce noise levels if they found to be excessive/distinguishable above background levels at the nearest residential property
