ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Conditions agreed with Trading Standards Authority
Signs will be displayed to inform customers that anyone who looks under 21 will be asked for accredited photo ID and staff will be appropriately trained in implementing this policy.
Conditions agreed with Environmental Health Authority
1. Doors and windows in the vicinity of the regulated entertainment will be kept shut during the entertainment.
2. Following the completion of regulated entertainment an announcement will be made requesting patrons co-operation in leaving the premises and vicinity as quietly and quickly as possible
3. Suitable signage at the exits to request patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises or in the rear car park; and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
4. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
5. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/entertainment and take action to reduce noise levels if they are found to be excessive/ distinguishable above background levels at the nearest residential property
6. Management will control the sound levels of the music/ entertainment.
Before 24.00
7. To prevent entertainment being intrusive, noise emanating from the premises will be inaudible at the nearest noise sensitive premises after 23.00 hours and when entertainment takes place on a regular basis at all times.
8. No regulated entertainment, other than background recorded music, to be held after 24.00.
9. Staff will monitor the use of the car park to ensure patrons do not congregate in this area and cause annoyance.
10. After 23.00 patrons should exit the premises via doors opening on to Mannamead Road
Steps taken in order to promote the four Licensing objectives
1. When door staff are used they will be Security Industry Authority (SIA) approved and operate in accordance with the security industry guidelines.
2. A zero tolerance towards illegal drugs will be enforced at all times.
3. If a disc jockey is used on any night then he/she will ask customers to leave quietly.
4. All instances of crime and disorder will be reported to the police and will be kept in an incident logbook.
5. Free drinking water will be available at all times.
6. Soft drinks and non-alcoholic refreshment will be available between the cessation of the supply of alcohol and the closure of the premises.
7. When children are allowed upon the premises, any entertainment offered within the premises will be suitable for young persons.
8. A recognised Proof of Age Policy will be enforced.
