ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Conditions that have been agreed with The Environmental Health Authority
Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. All regulated entertainment, excluding background music, will cease at 23.00hrs
2. Doors and windows will be kept shut during entertainment
3. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut
4. A member of staff will be positioned at exits particularly at closing times. (A member of staff should be instructed to encourage patrons to move on as quietly as possible. If no members of staff are employed the licensee or a suitable member of staff should undertake this role)
5. Before 23.00 hours - All entertainment
To prevent entertainment being intrusive, noise emanating from the premises will not be clearly audible one metre from the façade of the nearest residential property
6. Between 23.00hours and close
Noise emanating from the premises will not be distinguishable above back ground levels one metre from the façade of the nearest residential property nor in the adjoining residential property
7. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring residential premises at the start of the entertainment and periodically throughout the entertainment
8. Management will control the sound levels of the music /entertainment
Steps that have been taken to promote the four licensing objectives
(a) GENERAL
Records maintained of any material incidents within or in immediate vicinity of premises
Zero tolerance to drugs use and dealing
Policy of banning customers for misbehaviour within or in vicinity of premises where deemed necessary and appropriate
Availability of soft drinks, non-alcoholic and/or low alcohol beverages at all times
(b) THE PREVENTION OF CRIME AND DISORDER
Specific staff training and supervision in assessment of customer consumption and condition
CCTV System
Internal - all
Retention of tapes/discs etc for minimum 30 days
No drinks hoarding
Pro-active policy against "binge" drinking
Zero tolerance to offensive conduct
Toughened glassware for draught products
Regular glass collection
(c) PUBLIC SAFETY
Regular dedicated cleaning of premises
(d) THE PREVENTION OF PUBLIC NUISANCE
Nominated staff to deal with complaints from neighbours
(e) PROTECTION OF CHILDREN FROM HARM
Warning notices in place in relation to under age drinking
Full training for staff in law specifically relating to minors and alcohol and specific photo
