ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
A. Conditions that have been agreed with The Environmental Health Authority
Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. Doors and windows will be kept shut during entertainment.
2. Suitable signage at the exit to request the co-operation of patrons to make as little noise as possible when leaving the premises.
3. An announcement will be made prior to closing requesting patrons co-operation in leaving the premises and vicinity as quietly and quickly as possible
4. Entrances will be provided with lobbies with automatic door-closers. The lobbies are in use throughout the time of entertainment
5. Staff will check prior to entertainment, and periodically during the entertainment, that all windows and doors are shut.
6. A senior member of staff (manager) will assess the impact of any noisy activities on neighbouring premises at the start of the activity/entertainment and periodically throughout the activity/ entertainment and take action to reduce noise levels if they are found to be excessive/ distinguishable above background levels at the nearest residential property
7. To prevent entertainment being intrusive, noise emanating from the premises will not be clearly distinguishable above other noise 1 metre from the facade of the nearest residential property.
B. Conditions that have been agreed with The Licensing Police Authority
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
CCTV system working and recording good quality images
The recorded image to be kept for a period of 28days
The police licensing department will be informed if the CCTV system is not working properly
A notice will be displayed at the entrance advising CCTV is in operation
Lighting within the premise will not undermine the equality of the recorded image
Protection of Children from harm
Children under the age of 18years will not be allowed entry when entertainment of an adult or sexual nature is taking place.
A full range of reasonably priced soft drinks will openly be on offer
Only a valid driving licence, passport or proof of age standards scheme will be accepted as proof of identification
Any child in distress either within the premises or from outside will be afforded assistance to make contact with an appropriate adult of their choice
Any child found to be buying, attempting to buy or consuming alcohol or being involved in any incident will be handed over to the police
The paved area to the front of the premises will be regularly checked and any children found loitering will be asked to move away.
Public Nuisance
Where patrons exit onto residential areas will be displayed asking them to move away quietly
At least 30 minutes prior to the terminal hour the atmosphere should be adjusted to a calm down period of wind down. Measures should include the turning up of lights and discernibly quieter and calmer music.
General
A capacity limit will be set to prevent overcrowding - Capacity 160
No irresponsible drinks promotions or all inclusive's
No drinks hoarding
A record will be kept of all material incidents inside and directly outside the premises.
Where the premises are within an area for which club/pub watch meetings operate then a representative from the premises should participate on those meetings.
Bottles and Glasses
No open bottles or drinks containers will be taken from the premises
Regular glass collection from all public areas
No drink containers allowed onto the dancefloor
Toughened glassware for draught products.
Drugs
A secure facility to store controlled drugs will be available
Zero tolerance to drug use and dealing.
Drugs warning notice on display.
Public Safety
Any patron in need of medical assistance will be treated in the first instance by a member if staff with first aid skills.
Zero tolerance to homophobic and racist language
All staff will be trained to look for the effects of drink spiking and offer assistance accordingly.
