ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
1. Drink promotions will be limited to one per customer and only in conjunction with food.
2. Drink Aware /Challenge 21 and Think campaign printed in menus
3. Internal CCTV system in a well lit restaurant
4. At least one member of staff always present in customer areas
5. No admission for customers after 22.30hrs
6. All windows are shut - use air conditioning only
7. Any music played, will be at a low background level for diners
8. Waste disposal at rear of premises
9. Deliveries to be between 9.00hrs and 17.00hrs
10. Outside cigarette bin that will be inspected regularly
11. Challenge 21 policy adhered to
12. Only holographic ID cards accepted
13. Children under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult
Conditions that have been agreed with the Environmental Regulation Service
Public Nuisance
1. There should be suitable signage positioned at the exits requesting co-operation of patrons when leaving the premises to make as little noise as possible.
2. Patrons will be asked not to stand around talking in the street outside the premises and asked to leave the vicinity quickly and quietly.
3. A specific taxi operator will be nominated for staff and customers to use. The company’s telephone number will be advertised to customers. The operator and all drivers must be aware that they should arrive and depart as quietly as possible, should not sound the vehicle horn or leave the engines idling unnecessarily.
4. The provision of mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems will not allow noise breakout from the premises or cause a nuisance by its operation and regular maintenance will be carried out on all plant and machinery to ensure noise disturbance from such sources is kept to a minimum.
5. Where plant and machinery such as ventilation systems have the potential to cause a noise problem, they will be positioned in such a way that the structure provides as much screening as possible for nearby residential properties. Alternatively, or additionally, control measures such as acoustic enclosures, acoustic louvers, silencers, or additional acoustic screening will be considered.
6. Ventilation equipment will be regularly cleaned and maintained to control the levels of odour generated by the premises.
7. Bottle skips and bins containing cans or bottles will not be emptied outside after 11:00pm, but will be dealt with the following day during normal office hours.
8. The movement of bins and rubbish outside the premises will be kept to a minimum after 11:00pm
9. All rubbish produced by the premises will be stored securely in a designated area or in a bin with a tight fitting; lockable lid and all commercial waste collections will be arranged for after 8:00am.
10. Facilities for depositing litter and the collection of litter generated by patrons will be available and maintained where outside areas may be used by patrons.
11. The deliveries of goods will be restricted to the normal working day.
