ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
General
1. CCTV will be installed and maintained to the satisfaction of the Police and Local Licensing Authority
2. A notice will be displayed prominently at the entrance to the premises advising patrons that CCTV is in operation
3. CCTV recordings will be maintained for a period of 1 month
4. A proof of age scheme will be in force to the satisfaction of the police and Licensing Authority
5. All staff receive induction training and annual refresher training in the sale of age related products
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
1. The store will subscribe to the ‘PARC’ (Plymouth Against Retail Crime) scheme or equivalent scheme such as is in force from time to time
2. Mobile loss prevention officers may be contacted by staff at the store and are available to advise and/or attend the store between the hours of 07.00 and 22.00 to assist in all matters of crime prevention
Public Safety
1. The fire and other safety measures with which the premises will be provided will be maintained in good working order and their adequacy will be determinated on a regular basis by the carrying out of risk assessments, as required by and in accordance with the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations and/or other legal requirements a shall be in force from time to time
2. An adequate and appropriate supply of first aid equipment and materials will be available for the use of patrons and staff
3. All staff will receive training regarding their actions in the event of an emergency to ensure the safety of colleagues and patrons
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
1. All the rubbish produced by the premises will be stored securely in a designated area
2. The movement of bins and rubbish outside the area will be kept to a minimum outside the normal working day
3. Provision of mechanical ventilation and air conditioning systems will not allow noise breakout from the premises or cause a nuisance by its operation
4. Where plant and machinery has the potential to cause a noise problem it will be positioned in such a way that the building structure provides as much screening as possible for nearby noise-sensitive properties
5. Regular maintenance will be carried out on all plant and machinery to ensure that noise disturbance from such sources is kept to a minimum
The Protection of Children from Harm
1. Robust proof of age policy including signage (photo driving licence/ passport are considered the most reliable forms of age verification)
2. PASS (proof age standards scheme) is a Government backed initiative and cards which carry the PASS hologram logo would also be acceptable as proof of age
3. Full range of soft drinks to be available
