ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE
Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
General
Staff will be trained on the requirements of the Licensing Act 2003 when they are recruited, and this training will be updated on a regular basis, and when legislation changes.
It is the intention to form close liaison with the local Police Licensing Officer and work closely with the responsible authorities especially with respect to children and under age sales campaigns. Health and Safety / Fire Safety Act requirements will be adhered to.
The Prevention of Crime and Disorder
CCTV will be installed and handed to the Police or other responsible authorities on request. Signs will be displayed with regard to ‘proof of age’. The proof of age signage will be throughout the premises and we will adhere to a ‘NO ID, NO SALE’ policy. A refusal book is also to be kept on the premises.
Public Safety
There is a fire risk assessment on the premises, we will fully comply and update as required. Fire fighting equipment is in place along with marked exit areas, smoke detectors, and emergency lighting. Staff will be trained in fire safety procedures and evacuation procedures.
The Prevention of Public Nuisance
Staff will take necessary action to deter youths from congregating outside the premises as is far as practicably possible and discourage such practice and anti social behaviour by refusing to serve them for any item.
The Protection of Children from harm
NO ID NO SALE posters to be prominently displayed throughout the premises with a 21 prove it scheme to be undertaken by staff. A strict procedure will be enforced by all staff to ensure that every possible step is taken to ensure that alcohol and tobacco products do not end up in the possession of under age persons. Signage will also be displayed discouraging person to purchase alcohol for under 18’s
