Steps that have been taken to promote the Four Licensing Objectives
General
No irresponsible drinks promotions
All incidents of disorder both within and directly outside the premises will be reported to the Police at the earliest opportunity
Staff training
Health and Safety/due diligence procedures
Operate Storenet and P.A.R.C.
Operate a security training programme
Clear signage
Panic alarm installed
Fire safety equipment and emergency lighting installed
Clear exits and easy access in and around store
Litter free store inside and out
Display opening and closing times
Correct disposal of waste
To keep the noise of deliveries to a minimum
Display posters, signage and operate till prompts with reference to underage sales
Operate a refusals register
Fully oblige all age restrictive sales policies
Prevention of Crime and Disorder
CCTV1
CCTV system working and recording good quality images
The recorded image to be kept for a period of 14 days
The Police licensing department will be informed if the CCTV system is not working properly
A notice will be displayed at the entrance advising CCTV is in operation
Lighting within the premise will not undermine the quality of the recorded image
Protection of Children from Harm
Any person who appears to be under the age of 21 years will be asked to provide identification if they intend to purchase alcohol
Only a valid driving licence, passport or Proof of Age Standards Scheme will be accepted as proof of identification
Every incident relating to children buying or attempting to buy either directly or indirectly from the shop will be recorded
Any child in distress either within the premises or from outside will be afforded assistance to make contact with an appropriate adult of their choice
On the advice of the Police licensing department the shop will display posters indicating a positive stance on the issue of not selling alcohol to children
